◆What is the TV program "Singer”? “Singer” is a competition-style music program produced by Hunan Satellite TV in China.
“I am a Singer” was produced in four seasons since 2013 in a Chinese version of the popular Korean program “Nagakasuda I am a Singer”. It was rebranded in the fifth season of 2017 and renamed to “Singer” (due to Chinese authorities' restrictions on Korean culture due to Sino-Korean relations). “I am a singer 2016” was more focus on Whole Asian based on Chinese music scene. But "Singer 2017” show has become a higher quality music program since they started invite more international singers and international songs have been added.It is said that the field of view has been expanded and enhanced as the music program.
This “singer” program is not an audition program for discovering newcomers. The singers who participate in this program have abilities, and have already built a reputation.
