Born: 24 May 1994

◆Dimash Kudaibergen a.k.a “Dimash” was born on 24th May 1994 in Aktobe which is located in the west part of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

◆In Kazakhstan, the paternal grandparents traditionally raise little children, and also there is a custom that parents entrust the first child to them.

◆Thus Dimash was mostly brought up by his grandparents.

2. Meaning of his name

◆Nickname: Dimash (the common nickname for Dinmukhammed)

◆Kudaibergen is Kudai (god’s) + Bergen (gift).

◆Kanat means ‘wing’ and this is very common in Kazakhstan for boys.

3. Thanks to grandparents

◆It was his grandmother who discovered Dimash’s extraordinary music talent and his enthusiasm to music in the first place.

◆Miua devoted herself in supporting Dimash who had started to commute to Akhmet Zhubanov Music College. Miua sacrificed herself by helping him to develop his talent．Therefore, Dimash expresses great gratitude for the dedication of his grandparents.

4. School education

◆Dimash commuted to 32th school of Aktobe from the age of 6 and graduated musical class in 2009.

◆In 2014, he graduated from K.Zhubanov Aktobe Regional State University music department majoring in classical voice music.

◆Later he moved to Astana to commute to Kazakhstan National Art University majoring in Contemporary music (Jazz, Pop) and graduated on 27th June 2018. Even now, he is studying composition at master’s degree in the same university.

5. Fateful encounter with his teacher

◆During his school days at K. Zhubanov Aktobe Resional State University, Dimash met his teacher Marat Aitimov, an honorary artist of Kazakhstan, who he still respects ever since.
It is one of the most important lifetime events for him.

◆After graduating from university, he started studying composition at the National University of the Arts (in Astana), he continued training with Master Marat.

◆At Kazakh State University of Arts, he trained pop vocals instructed by Maira Dauletbekovao.
She helped Dimash to win at the Slavic Bazaar contest.

6. 2010-2014: Early career

◆2010: Grand prize at “Звонкие голоса Байконура” (Sonorous Voices of Baikonur) in Kazakhstan

◆2012: First prize at “Zhas Kanat” (Young Wing) in Kazakhstan

◆2012: Runner up at “Восточный Базар” (Oriental Bazaar) in Ukraine

◆2013: Grand prize at “Мейкин Азия"(Makin Asia / Open Asia) in Kyrgyzstan

◆2013: Participated as a guest singer together with Alisher Karimov at “Türkçevizyon Gala Night”(Turkish vision Gala Night) in Turkey

◆2012: Released the single “Көркемім” (Korkemim) of his own composition and lyrics written by his father Kanat Aitbayev.

7. 2015-2016: Slavic Bazaar, International performance, “Unforgettable Day” tour7.

◆2015: Grand prize( Record :175 of 180 point) at “Slavic Bazaar” /Belarus

◆2015: Performed ‘Daididau’ as a representative of Kazakhstan at “ABU TV Song Festival” in Turkey

★He showed remarkable performance after receiving the Grand prize at Slavic Bazaar, and he was invited to many international stages from the year 2015 to 2016.

★Beside stage performance, Dimash released a song “Unforgettable Day”

◆August 2015: Single ‘Unforgettable Day' was released.

◆December 2015: Recorded a new song “My swan” (Аққуым) as a duet with soprano singer Maira Mukhamedkyzy who highly praised him. Then performed many duets on TV and concerts.

◆ October 2016: Released EP “Dimash Kudaibergen” (mini album of 4 songs) titled by his name.

◆February 2016: Announced new song “kazakhstan" at Commemorative concert by Lupkan Zholdasov

◆April 2016: Commenced on a concert tour to visit 25 places in Kazakhstan (+2 in Russia) to commemorate Kazakhstan’s 25th independence anniversary.

This tour was entitled “Unforgettable Day Tour”

◆Dimash is now invited as a guest or a judge in the contests where he was once a participant.

◆July 2016: Performed ‘Belovezhskaya Pushcha’ duet with Nagima Eskalieva a Kazakh singer.

◆September 2016: Sang “Туғанжер” (My Homeland) together with Yasmin Ibrayeva, 11 years old girl.

◆November 2016: At the Turkic Culture Festival in Seoul, South Korea, he performed in front of the leaders of countries.

He sang a song ‘Notre Dame De Paris’ with Sundet Baigozhin.

8. 2017: From China to the World “I’m a singer”

◆January: He signed a contract with Black Gold Talent Beijing, China. After the TV contest program which he appeared under a Chinese name 迪希玛 (Di Ma Xi), his world was dramatically changed.

◆June: Performed the concert “Bastau” (Beginning)

◆September: Performed as a headliner and as the ending singer at “Gakku Open-Air-Festival”

◆October: Denis Ten who is a figure skater and friend of Dimash, used Dimash’s song “SOS d'un terrien en détresse” for his free skating for the 2018–19 figure skating season.

★This year, he won many awards at many stages and events in China.

★This year was especially lucky for Dimash who had a friendship with Jackie Chan the movie star he wanted to meet.

9. 2018

◆Started “D-Dynasty World Live Tour” domestic tour in China

◆November: Performed Solo Concert “London Concert DQ” at Indigo at The O2 in London, UK.

◆19th July: There was sad news that Denis Ten was killed by a robber. He was Dimash’s best friend, Dimash had send a birthday message to him a month before the accident. Dimash was deeply shocked and he expressed condolences on Instagram.

◆September: Performed as a guest singer at Russian International Contest “New Wave”. This performance was done by a joint casting from A’Studio at which he sang “Sinful passion”, and on live stage he sang “Adagio” at closing ceremony.

◆November: A collaboration performance with renowned Russian Composer Igor Krutoy was started.

He released a cover song “The love of tired swan" (RU: Любовь уставших лебедей) composed by Igor Krutoy and lyrics by Mikhail Gutseriyev (Russian poet)

10. 2019-

◆February 2019: He participated in the CBS’s talent competition program “The World’s Best”, but he withdrew himself from the semifinals. (He explained to avoid any competition with minors after this.)

◆March 2019: Moscow concert

◆21st June 2019: Sang Ogni Pietra (Olympico) at opening ceremony of European competition in Minsk, Belarus

◆29th June 2019: Performed ‘ARNAU’ (Devotion) subtitled “Dimash Kinetic Voice” at Astana arena in Kazakhstan

After this, he launched the ongoing world tour ARNAU (As of 2020).
